100,000 downloads for Braintrack app

More than 100,000 people worldwide have downloaded BrainTrack, the award-winning free app from Dementia Australia, since its release in October 2022.

Spanning 202 countries, including Australia, India, and the U.S., BrainTrack aids users in monitoring cognitive changes through travel-themed games adapted from validated cognitive tests.

Users can share results with doctors to help identify early cognitive changes.

Dementia Australia’s Dr Kaele Stokes highlighted the app’s role in supporting brain health and early diagnosis, a key aspect in helping manage symptoms.

Research by Deakin University will evaluate the app’s impact, with findings expected in 2025.

BrainTrack has received several awards, including Google Play Australia’s Best App for Good in 2023 and Inside Ageing’s Future of Ageing Awards, where it was Highly Commended last year.

BrainTrack was developed by Dementia Australia with the Applied Artificial Intelligence Institute (A2I2), Deakin University and funded by the Australian Government. It is a free download and is available through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
