2025 ITAC Awards

The 2025 Innovation Transforming Aged Care (ITAC) Awards winners were announced tonight at a prestigious event at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, recognising outstanding contributions to aged and community care, seniors housing, and retirement living.

Hosted by Ageing Australia, the awards celebrate innovation and excellence across the sector, acknowledging individuals, organisations, and teams driving positive change for older Australians.

Tom Symondson, CEO of Ageing Australia, congratulated the winners and emphasised the importance of innovation in improving aged care services.


“These awards showcase the incredible talent and creativity within the aged care sector. The winners have demonstrated how innovative thinking can enhance care outcomes, improve operational efficiency, and empower older Australians to live fuller lives,” Mr Symondson said.

“This is precisely the kind of forward-thinking that our sector needs – work that enhances wellbeing, supports independence, and delivers meaningful change for older Australians.”

This year’s awards introduced four new categories, highlighting the growing role of technology and research in aged care. Ageing Australia received 59 nominations, reflecting the breadth of innovation across the industry.

2025 ITAC Award Winners

Technology Transformation Award – Acknowledging technologies that improve care delivery, efficiency, or quality of life for older Australians.
Winner: Umps Health

Data Insights Award – Recognising the use of data to improve decision-making and care outcomes.
Winner: Baptcare Data & Analytics – Business Intelligence App for Residential Workforce and Customer Management

Research and Development Award – Recognising projects that advance aged care knowledge and service delivery.
Winner: Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT)

Capacity Building Award – Celebrating programs that enhance workforce skills or empower older Australians.
Winner: BaptistCare
