Aged Care Enrichment Podcast – Helping seniors write their stories with Angela Burton (Feet to the Fire Writer’s Workshops) – available Tuesday 22nd June

On Tuesday, we’re talking to Angela Burton. Angela is the creator of the Feet to the Fire Writers Workshops, a writing program that encourages older adults to share and relive their stories and memories through the process of writing.

Angela is also the host of the podcast, the Feet to the Fire Writer’s Workshops Outloud where she interviews older adults from her writing programs and invites them to share some of their writing – and we’ll be hearing a snippet from that program too.

In this conversation we talked a lot about the creative process and why that’s important for people of all ages, why the process of writing is more important than the outcome, and how to bring value to the lives of older adults through creativity.
