It’s been 250 days since the aged care Royal Commission report was released but what is its legacy?
On Tuesday, we’re delighted to welcome Professor Joseph Ibrahim to the Aged Care Enrichment Podcast to share his thoughts.
Professor Ibrahim is a practicing senior specialist in geriatric medicine in the Department of Forensic Medicine at Monash University. He is also an author – publishing informative content on the dignity of risk and other challenges of dementia care via his website www.profjoe.com.au
Prof Ibrahim holds nothing back in this interview and you’ll hear he’s very vocal about the need for aged care reform, particularly in relation to funding, standards of care, human rights, sexual abuse and the failure of successive governments to address systemic problems in the industry.
There is a lot to unpack here, and much more than we can do justice in this very short teaser.
Call to action! As we plan for our third season of the podcast in 2022, we are casting the net out for interesting topics and guests to feature. If there’s a topic or guest you’d like to recommend, then send us an email at acepodcast@silvradventures.com.au
