Amana Living has secured nearly $4.5 million through the Australian Government’s Aged Care Capital Assistance Program to upgrade its Edward Collick Home in Kalgoorlie, WA.
The program supports aged care infrastructure improvements, particularly in regional, rural, and remote areas, with a focus on benefiting First Nations communities, people with dementia, and those at risk of homelessness.
Planned upgrades include:
• Refurbished resident rooms
• Upgraded common areas
• Renovated hairdressing salon
• Landscaping improvements
• Enhanced power systems and security
“Amana Living is dedicated to creating contemporary, welcoming environments that support the physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing of our residents. We are delighted to receive this funding, which will allow us to significantly enhance the building and facilities of Edward Collick Home.”
Stephanie Buckland, Amana Living CEO
The upgrades are slated to begin in early 2025, with collaboration among staff, residents, and families to minimise disruption during the process.
