Anglicare Southern Queensland has announced the appointment of Kane Singh as its Chief Operating Officer for Aged & Community Services, marking a significant leadership milestone as the organisation navigates upcoming aged care reforms.
Kane Singh brings over 15 years of experience in the aged care sector and a strong academic foundation that includes a postgraduate qualification in management and a Master of Business Administration. A registered nurse by profession, Singh is known for his commitment to quality care, customer-centric strategies, and fostering organisational growth.
Mr Singh, who joined Anglicare a few months ago, has already been inspired by the organisation’s work supporting over 35,000 older Queenslanders annually. With a workforce of more than 2,600 employees, Anglicare delivers essential services to more than 6,000 individuals daily.
In a statement, Mr Singh shared his vision for steering Anglicare through a transformative period in the sector.
“I am responsible for implementing the strategy set by the Anglicare Southern Queensland board and ensuring our services adapt to the changes brought by the new Aged Care Act and Support at Home reforms, which will take effect on July 1, 2025,” he said.
He stressed the importance of strong leadership, adaptability, and technological innovation in achieving success amidst significant industry reforms.
“We are on the cusp of a new chapter, with the incoming Strengthened Quality Standards set to redefine the sector. I believe our ability to embrace change and enhance service delivery will be pivotal in meeting the needs of both current and future clients,” he added.
Mr Singh acknowledged Anglicare’s dedicated staff, crediting their compassion and commitment as the backbone of the organisation’s success.
