Are you a volunteer in aged care? If so, we would like to hear your story…

Volunteering in aged care can be an incredibly rewarding experience, both for the volunteers themselves and for the individuals they work with. Whether you’re a student looking to gain experience in healthcare, a retiree looking to give back to your community, or simply someone who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of others, volunteering in aged care is a great way to make a difference.

As part of National Volunteer Week – 15 to 21 May – Inside Ageing is asking those people currently volunteering in aged care to share their experiences. HammondCare has produced the below video showcasing some of their wonderful volunteers.

We aim to publish these on Inside Ageing for the sector to use as part of their communications with those who may be considering a volunteer role.

The following questions can all be answered or just those that are most relevant to individual circumstances.

Responses can be emailed to: editor@insideageing.com.au – please advise whether you would like to have your name disclosed and if so a photo of yourself would be great too.
