ESG leader Dr Kaushik Sridhar to head up sustainability at Levande

ESG and sustainability leader Dr Kaushik Sridhar has announced his departure from Evolution Mining after 2.5 years. During his time there, Dr Sridhar achieved significant progress in ESG initiatives, including the establishment of the company’s first ESG Reporting Strategy and Framework and the development of its Net Zero targets and decarbonisation approach. He also led two major ESG projects for the Company focussed on ESG data automation/digitisation and Net Zero, achieved industry-leading ESG scores across multiple ESG Ratings indices, and helped establish Evolution Mining’s Modern Slavery Program.

Dr Sridhar is set to take on a new role as Head of Sustainability at Levande, one of Australia’s largest retirement living providers, and follows the completion of its acquisition of Stockland Group’s 58 villages across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory.

In this newly created role, Dr Sridhar will develop and implement sustainability strategies, establish the Sustainability and ESG function across national operations, and drive the sustainability agenda.

His previous experience includes working at Regis Healthcare, KPMG, EY and Unisys where he has built and led multi-million-dollar and award-winning sustainability programs & strategies. At Regis, he helped set up their first sustainability program that was recognised by Inside Ageing’s inaugural Future of Ageing Awards in 2019 – winning the sustainability category.

Dr Sridhar is a widely published author and an Adjunct Lecturer at the Australian Institute of Business. He has previously worked as an adjunct lecturer at several universities, including Monash University, the University of Melbourne, and RMIT University, teaching MBA courses in leadership and corporate sustainability.

Dr Sridhar has also held non-executive directorship roles at various organizations, including Bioregional Australia, Climate Alliance, Fair Trade Association of Australia and New Zealand, and the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation. He is currently a brand Ambassador for Opportunity International and Better Futures Australia.

Dr Sridhar’s efforts have been recognized by various industry awards, including being named Finder Green Leader of the Year in 2022, ESG Thought Leader of the Year in 2021, and Assent Compliance’s Top 100 Global Corporate Social Responsibility Leaders.
