Insights into Aged Care Business Software: survey findings

A survey of aged care providers into utilisation and barriers of business software has revealed many are still relying on traditional data management tools such as excel.

The research, conducted by Inside Ageing and Epicor, throughout December 2019 and January 2020 found only 14 per cent of respondents have fully integrated software systems across the key areas of their business.

This is one of the contributing factors for the time and expense that providers have incurred when they were required to provide data to the Royal Commission into quality and safety.

Cost, culture within the organisation, existing outdated legacy and non-integrated systems in place were identified as the main three barriers to upgrading systems and technology.

A discussion about the findings and data integration for residential care and home care will be shared in an on-demand webinar available from 31 March 2020.

It will be available for download and instant viewing via email.

The expert panel will feature St Catherine’s CFO, Juliet Ye, Epicor senior account manager Gary McDonald and be moderated by Inside Ageing Content and Partnerships Director, Sean McKeown.

Anyone working in aged care or home care is invited to submit a question to the panel by entering it in the field below. Questions will remain anonymous.
