IRT has unveiled a refreshed brand identity, marking what the community-owned aged care provider describes as the beginning of a new era as it responds to changing expectations of older Australians.
The rebrand, launched this week, introduces the new tagline, “Empowering Lives, Celebrating Journeys,” and reflects IRT’s evolution over more than 55 years, while reinforcing its commitment to supporting older Australians through retirement living, residential aged care and home care services.
IRT Chief Executive Officer Ross Gallagher said the refreshed brand acknowledges the organisation’s heritage while positioning it for the future.
“It signals the next chapter for an organisation with deep community roots, strong momentum, and a clear role to play in the future of ageing in our country.”
Founded in 1969, IRT has expanded its footprint across multiple states and territories, growing alongside changing community expectations and the evolving aged care sector.
Mr Gallagher said today’s older Australians are living longer, leading more active lives and seeking greater choice in how they age.
“Our refreshed brand reflects that evolution. It connects the strength of our history with the ambition of our future, while staying true to our purpose: to improve the lives of older Australians,” he added.
He emphasised that the rebrand is not a reinvention of the organisation but a clearer expression of its identity and values.
The new brand centres on helping older Australians live well at every stage of later life, with a focus on choice, connection, care and personalised support. It also recognises the contribution of IRT’s workforce, with Mr Gallagher describing employees as the people who bring the organisation’s purpose to life through the relationships they build with residents, customers and families.
The refreshed identity also aligns with IRT’s ongoing investment in new communities and developments across New South Wales, including projects in Woonona, Unanderra, Wollongong, Milton and Moruya.
According to Mr Gallagher, these developments are designed to provide more contemporary living environments and flexible care options that evolve alongside residents’ changing needs.
The rebrand will be rolled out progressively across IRT’s operations, including updated signage, new employee uniforms and a marketing campaign spanning television, billboards and other community channels.
