Libby Lyons, Chair of the Aged Care Workforce Industry Council (ACWIC), has announced her resignation from the role. She informed the Board that she believes it is the right time to step down and pass on the leadership.

Appointed as ACWIC’s first Chair in June 2021, Ms Lyons played a key role in developing and implementing crucial aged-care workforce initiatives. ACWIC Deputy Chair Graeme Prior, a respected leader in the aged care sector, will now lead ACWIC, with Lyons’ resignation taking effect immediately.

Prior praised Lyons for her significant contributions to ACWIC and the aged care industry, calling her a formidable leader who will be missed. Lyons expressed her pride in her work at ACWIC and praised the organisation for its ability to deliver despite a challenging environment.
