Lumia Care expands national reach with acquisition of South Australia’s Pop-Up Health

Lumia Care, an Australian healthcare group, has expanded into South Australia through its acquisition of Pop-Up Health, a respected provider of community and custodial nursing services.

This addition brings 330 new nurses and care workers to Lumia’s network, extending its reach and service offerings across Australia. Founded by the Pappin family in 2012, Pop-Up Health serves over 400 South Australians daily with in-home and specialty healthcare.

Lumia Care CEO Jason Cartwright said: “We’re excited to have Pop-Up Health join the Lumia Care network, giving us a strong presence in South Australia and expanding our national reach.

Pop-Up CEO Jane Pappin highlighted the merger’s timely alignment with sector-wide changes, enabling service expansion and knowledge-sharing across Lumia’s network. By joining Lumia, Pop-Up Health benefits from a national platform that supports local expertise with additional resources, enhancing care quality and technological advancements.

“As part of the Lumia Group network, we will be able to share experiences and learnings on, for example, the best practice delivery of home care packages, or technological advances, with others in the national Lumia network.
