Lyndoch Living, located in Warrnambool on Victoria’s south-west coast, will officially join Respect on June 1, 2024. This integration makes Lyndoch Living the 26th home in Respect’s expanding network across Australia.

Lyndoch Living encompasses a 198-bed residential aged care facility, retirement living units, and local home care services. The move is expected to bolster support for residents, clients, and families in South-West Victoria.

“Respect is dedicated to providing exceptional care in rural and regional areas. Bringing Lyndoch Living into our family ensures the continuity and sustainability of services for local families.”

Lyndoch Living has faced operational and financial challenges in recent years. Despite a three-year turnaround plan led by its Board, maintaining viability as an independent provider proved difficult. It was reported that operational losses for the last financial year were close to $20m.

In a statement, Dr Peter O’Brien, Lyndoch Living Chair, expressed confidence in Respect’s capacity to secure a sustainable future. “Respect’s reputation and commitment to excellent care and staff support make it the right choice for Lyndoch Living,” O’Brien said.

Respect’s acquisition aims to enhance the quality and sustainability of aged care services in Warrnambool.
