Regis Healthcare (ASX: REG) has appointed Andrew Kinkade as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, with the leadership change to take effect from 20 July 2026.
Mr Kinkade joins from Bupa, where he currently serves as Managing Director of its Villages & Aged Care division. In that role, he leads a workforce of around 8,000 staff across 57 locations and has overseen operational and cultural transformation, growth initiatives and improvements in clinical care outcomes. He has also contributed to Bupa’s Asia-Pacific strategy and sits on Bupa Hong Kong’s board.
His earlier career includes senior healthcare roles at Bupa Dental Care, Catholic Healthcare and National Home Doctor Service, as well as experience in strategy consulting and finance with Bain & Company and Macquarie Group in London.
Mr Kinkade holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Technology Sydney, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Solicitor. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
He will succeed Dr Linda Mellors, whose resignation was announced in December 2025. Dr Mellors will complete her tenure on 19 June 2026 after more than six years leading the organisation.
Regis chairman Graham Hodges said Mr Kinkade brings “an exceptional blend of operational leadership, strategic rigour and financial capability,” highlighting his experience leading complex transformations in highly regulated, people-intensive sectors.
Mr Kinkade said he was “thrilled” to be joining the provider at a pivotal time for both the company and the aged care sector, adding that he looked forward to working with the board, leadership team and staff to build on Regis’ reputation and deliver its strategic growth agenda.
