SilVR Adventures network and Oroi Cognitive

SilVR Adventures, a provider of VR-based experiences for seniors, has formed a strategic partnership with Oroi Wellbeing, Europe’s premier virtual reality platform for older adults. This collaboration expands SilVR Adventures’ therapeutic offerings, including cognitive, physical, and occupational therapies.

Oroi Cognitive, accessible through SilVR Adventures, offers a range of exercises and games that simulate everyday life scenarios, such as grocery shopping, navigating a city, organising a room, dressing, and various other activities of daily living (ADLs), skills commonly taught by professional therapists.

Inside Ageing has spoken with therapists about the benefits of simulation with those living with dementia in a bid to build confidence ahead of an outing.

The partnership extends SilVR Adventures’ position in aged care and retirement living engagement through virtual reality. It enables group sessions to stimulate memories, fulfil bucket list items, revisit significant places, and share stories, enhancing the quality of life for seniors,

Jorge Maylin, CEO of Oroi, highlighted the opportunities this partnership brings to the ANZ region.

“This strategic partnership opens up thrilling prospects for both companies and signifies our ANZ and Singapore industry collaboration,” said Jorge Maylin, CEO of Oroi, which operates in Spain, France, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and Germany.

SilVR Adventures (a Future of Ageing Awards winner) is already a valuable tool for care providers and community organisations in Australia, NZ, and Singapore, with numerous partnerships and collaborations with leading organisations.

Inside Ageing recently reported on the company’s expansion into Singapore and New Zealand with leading providers in those countries adopting the service.
