Dementia Australia proudly announces renowned country music singer-songwriter Adam Harvey as its newest Ambassador, coinciding with his headline performances at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

A nine-time Golden Guitar Award winner, Adam’s connection to dementia is deeply personal. Inspired by his mother’s diagnosis, he wrote the heartfelt song Remember Me, which he will perform this weekend. Adam aims to use his platform to raise awareness about dementia and its impact, particularly in rural and remote communities with limited support.

“My mum’s journey with dementia has been deeply challenging for my family, but it has also shown me the importance of understanding, support, and compassion,” Mr Harvey said.

Dementia Australia CEO, Professor Tanya Buchanan, welcomes Adam to the team, highlighting his ability to connect with audiences and his dedication to breaking down the stigma surrounding dementia.

Adam’s announcement coincides with the upcoming Tamworth Memory Walk & Jog at Bicentennial Park on Sunday, 9 February. The community is invited to participate and help raise funds and awareness for the 421,000 Australians living with dementia and the 1.6 million involved in their care.
