Estia Health has announced the acquisition of three Calvary Health Care aged care homes in Queensland, expanding its footprint in the region. The transfer includes Calvary Robina Rise, Calvary Noosa, and Calvary Gympie Views, with Estia expected to take over ownership and operations in early December.
The acquisition will add 406 residential aged care places to Estia’s network, further strengthening its presence on the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.
Sean Bilton, CEO of Estia Health, highlighted the significance of this expansion, stating, “We are delighted to increase our commitment to these regions through the management of additional residential aged care places for older Queenslanders.”
Estia Health and Calvary Health Care have jointly assured residents, families, and employees of a seamless transition, with no disruptions to care services or staff employment.
The leadership teams of both organisations recently met with residents, their families, and staff to address any questions regarding the transition.
Martin Bowles, Calvary Health Care National CEO, explained the decision to transfer ownership, noting that Calvary’s strategic vision for connected care is limited by its footprint in Queensland. “This decision was not made lightly, but we believe it’s in the best long-term interests of our residents and staff,” Bowles said.
Estia Health will integrate these new locations into its network of 75 residential aged care homes across Australia
