Estia Health has announced its acquisition of seven residential aged care homes from Aurrum Aged Care, marking a significant expansion of its operations in New South Wales and Victoria. The deal, which includes three homes on the NSW Central Coast and four in Melbourne, is expected to take effect from April 1, 2025.
Estia Health also acquired three Calvary aged care homes in Queensland late last year.
The NSW homes include locations at Erina/Terrigal Drive, Norah Head, and Wyoming, while the Victorian homes are in Brunswick, Healesville, Plenty, and Reservoir. Together, the homes add approximately 800 residential aged care places to Estia Health’s portfolio, which will now include 78 homes nationwide.
Sean Bilton, CEO Estia Health said: “We are delighted that we are able to increase our commitment of care and services for older people through the management of approximately 800 additional residential aged care places across these seven homes, including entry into the Central Coast of NSW to complement existing homes in the Hunter and Mid North Coast regions.”
Both organisations have assured residents, families, and employees of a seamless transition. Aurrum and Estia management teams met with stakeholders this week to outline the process and address questions. Residents will continue to receive care from the same staff, with no changes to their current arrangements.
Estia Health’s expanded presence aims to strengthen its ability to deliver high-quality services across the country.
