Grandton Applecross in Perth’s south, has officially reached its Practical Completion as of July 26, 2024. With the Certificate of Occupancy and strata titles finalised, residents can now move in.
The development features an impressive exterior and state-of-the-art interiors with advanced smart technology, setting a new standard for retirement living in Western Australia.
Over the past six weeks, limited access was granted to potential residents to view a display apartment. Now, full ‘home opens’ can begin to market the remaining 22% of apartments. Notably, the final two of the four sub-penthouse apartments, each measuring 147 sqm with a 44 sqm balcony, sold for $3.7 million each. All penthouse apartments were sold earlier, and only three of the 16 three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments remain available at $2.6 million each. All one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments have been sold.
A key performance indicator (KPI) set by the developers was to enable seniors to move from nursing homes into Grandton apartments. Several seniors from a nearby nursing home are now transitioning into their new luxury apartments, benefiting from this initiative.
Roshana Care Group has begun marketing to attract high-care seniors, offering two accommodation options, including a premium 60 sqm one-bedroom, one-bath apartment with a 27 sqm balcony.
With Grandton Applecross completed, Grandton Limited is now focusing on future developments. The company aims to use surplus income to assist disadvantaged senior Australians with low-cost rental accommodation. Suitable land for new projects is being sourced.

According to John, the sales process for Grandton Applecross was challenging due to its innovative approach to senior living, combining retirement living and residential aged care. Despite this, 75% of the apartments were sold off-plan. The unique retirement living strata ownership concept was well-received, with current apartment prices up to 65% higher than initial sales, rewarding early adopters.
Dr Rosh Jalagge, CEO of Roshana Care Group, purchased the private care suites at Grandton Applecross, embracing the innovative approach to aged care and the opportunities offered by the Grandton Model.
