Grant: Aged Care Capital Assistance Program

The government has announced a further $300 million investment in residential aged care infrastructure for regional, rural, and remote communities through a new round of the Aged Care Capital Assistance Program.

This funding aims to ensure older Australians have access to high-quality and safe aged care services, regardless of location. Eligible providers can use the grants for facility upgrades, extensions, new builds, and purpose-built staff accommodation to enhance care services.

The program is open to providers in all regional, rural, and remote areas (MM 2 to 7) and includes dedicated funding for specialist providers serving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, even in major cities (MM 1).

In the previous rounds, $385 million was allocated to 128 infrastructure projects across the country, primarily benefiting rural and remote regions.

Grant details and eligibility criteria are available on GrantConnect. Applications close on 20 May 2025 at 2pm (AEST).
