Mable Community Grants are now open for 2025! They provide financial support to initiatives aimed at directly transforming the lives of Australians with disability or older people.
Four $10,000 grants are available. The grants aim to support passionate individuals, community or sporting groups, charities, and not-for-profit organisations dedicated to enhancing the independence and inclusion of people with disability or older people, helping them live life to the fullest.
Tony Charara, Mable CEO and Co-Founder, said this year marks the seventh year of the Mable Community Grants program, a testament to Mable’s enduring commitment to its community.
“To date, we have proudly awarded $215,000 in grants to 19 impactful recipients, each story a powerful example of our community in action,” said Tony.
Past grant recipients have included a community exercise class for older people, enriching shared reading programs that combat loneliness, funding for a five-day men’s camp for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men affected by Machado-Joseph Disease, and the development of a training program and resource kits for supporting people with vision loss—all designed to create a more inclusive world.
“Through the support of Mable’s 2024 Community Grant program, we can host reading clubs in local community venues. The primary goal of the clubs is to reduce and overcome social isolation, particularly amongst elderly residents who live alone,” said Christopher Smith from Shared Reading NSW.
“We are thrilled to be able to provide training and develop a resource kit for support workers and carers on how best to support those with vision loss, thanks to our Mable Community Grant,” said Rachel DeSumma from Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria.
“We are incredibly proud to continue our commitment to empowering communities through our grants program, knowing the profound difference each dollar makes.”
“These grants provide vital support to organisations that are truly making a tangible difference in the lives of older people and people with disability, breaking down barriers and fostering a greater sense of belonging and freedom across Australia,” said Tony.
Applications for the Mable Community Grants close on 30 September 2025.
