Mable Community Grants close December 1st

Applications for the 2021 Mable Community Grants are closing soon, with a total pool of $50,000 available, including individual grants ranging from $2,000 to $20,000.

Launched in 2020, the Mable Community Grants initiative is designed to support people or projects that aim to improve independence and inclusion for people with disability or older Australians.

Past recipients have used their grants to fund:

  • An app for people living with dementia.
  • A feature-length documentary ‘No Distinguishing Features’ showcasing the stories of six people who live with disability from across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Design of an inclusive clothing collection and runway event as part of the 2019 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival in Brisbane.

Peter Scutt, CEO and Co-Founder of Mable, said the grants were established to fund innovative projects that are focused on fostering true inclusivity within the community for older Australians and people with disabilities.

“At Mable, we believe in an inclusive society where everyone belongs. We know we are not alone in this vision and we’re determined to find like-minded changemakers who are having a positive impact in their community.

“That’s why we launched our philanthropic initiative, the Mable Community Grants to fund people and projects that promote independence and inclusion for people who are elderly, or who live with a disability. It’s a purpose aligned with our Mable mission.”

“The Mable Community Grants initiative supports people and projects working toward improving independence and inclusion for people with disability and ageing Australians. The grants provide a platform for the community to be a catalyst for change they most want to see in society,” Peter said.
