Stockland Halcyon Greens, located in Pimpama, north of the Gold Coast, has been awarded the prestigious title of Best Land Lease Community Development at the 2023 Property Council of Australia’s National Retirement Living Awards. This recognition celebrates the excellence exhibited by Stockland Halcyon Greens in the retirement living sector.
The community is situated amidst nature reserves, native wetlands, and neighbouring the Gainsborough Greens Championship Golf Course. The awards were judged on various factors such as project vision, innovation, design quality, customer satisfaction, and community perception.
Executive General Manager of Stockland Halcyon Communities, Richard Rhydderch said it was an honour for Stockland Halcyon Greens to be recognised.
“Halcyon Greens has set a benchmark providing the Baby Boomer generation with the choice, style and quality they’re looking for in retirement,” Mr Rhydderch said.
In a statement Mr Rhydderch discussed Stockland Halcyon Greens’ emphasis on sustainability, stating that the community has been a game-changer in the lifestyle community sector for individuals over 50. The homes boast a minimum six-star energy rating and include 3.5-kilowatt solar panels as a standard feature, with over half of homeowners opting for 5 kilowatts. These environmentally friendly designs not only reduce energy costs but also contribute to lowering emissions through improved energy efficiency.
Upon completion, Stockland Halcyon Greens will encompass over 500 homes distributed across five residential precincts. All residents will have access to a central 2.8-hectare green space that will house the recreation and leisure precinct.
This recent recognition from the Property Council of Australia adds to the impressive collection of over 30 industry awards that Stockland Halcyon has won in nearly two decades.
