Arcare opens its 50th residence

Arcare Aged Care has officially opened its 50th residence in Birtinya, bringing state-of-the-art amenities and excellence in care to the Sunshine Coast. The residence was officially opened by Sunshine Coast Mayor Mark Jamieson on Monday, April 24th, 2023.

Home to 90 suites within three tailored communities, Arcare Birtinya offers permanent care using Arcare’s award-winning Dedicated Assignment model, emphasizing relationships between the residents, their families, and team members above all else.

Designed with a coastal-glam style interior, Arcare Birtinya Residents will have access to their own ensuite and communal amenities such as a boutique café, courtyards with a pizza oven, open activity rooms, a hair salon, theatre, physiotherapy room, private dining room, and suites with courtyard or veranda access, some including lake views.

Sunshine Coast Mayor Mark Jamieson said, “On behalf of the staff and the Knowles group, the new residence of this great Arcare facility here in Birtinya, it’s with great pride on behalf of our community I cut the ribbon to officially open today.”

Arcare Birtinya’s first resident, Dorothy Sherman, said, “I’m really excited to be moving in here and being closer to the family!”
