Aged Care Research & Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA) will host a webinar on Wednesday, 8 October, unveiling early insights from its two pioneering Flagship Projects designed to tackle some of the sector’s most pressing challenges.
The ARIIA Aged Care Collaborative Flagship Projects, funded by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, bring together 14 aged care providers in a unique “co-opetition” model that combines collaboration and competition to drive sector-wide improvements.
Fourteen aged care providers were selected to co-design and implement innovative, evidence-based solutions to address two of the sector’s most challenging issues:
- Flagship Project 1: Enhancing Role Clarity, Communication and Career Pathways with a Flexible Leadership Model.
- Flagship Project 2: Empowering Data Literacy and Capability to Drive Quality Care.
Running from July 2025 to June 2026, the initiatives are designed to co-design and implement evidence-based solutions, while fostering collaboration, capability building, and knowledge sharing across the aged care sector.
Workshops, consultations and co-design sessions have already begun, with providers sharing insights and identifying key opportunities for reform.
“Our aim is for the whole sector to benefit from the Flagship Projects, and we are excited to share early insights and learnings in this first webinar.”
Holly Sparrow
The webinar, part of an ongoing series, will take place from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm AEDT on 8 October. Registered attendees will also receive access to a recording.
