Prof Richard Fleming

Professor Richard Fleming is a psychologist and environmental design expert with more than 35 years experience in the development of services for people living with dementia. Professor Fleming was most recently the Executive Director of Dementia Training Australia, a national consortium funded by the Federal Government to provide dementia education and training across Australia. He now offers expert advice to aged care providers and architects on developing building designs for people living with dementia and the staff who care for them. Professor Fleming was co-author of the Environmental Design Resources handbook (the number one recommended resource for Standard 5 of the New Aged Care Quality Standards) and the 10 principles of environmental design.
