Clayton Church Homes announces new board appointments to support future growth

South Australian not-for-profit aged care provider Clayton Church Homes (CCH) has announced a series of key governance appointments, positioning the organisation for continued growth and impact as demand for aged care services increases.

Long-standing board member Nicolle Rantanen Reynolds has been appointed Chair, while Philippa Ewens and Antony Pivato have joined the board as Non-Executive Directors, strengthening the organisation’s skills-based governance framework.

Ms Rantanen Reynolds brings extensive leadership experience across public purpose, financial services and member-based organisations. A former South Australian Public Trustee, she currently chairs Thoroughbred Racing NT and holds board positions with the Lutheran Laypeople’s League, Foresters Financial Services, the Local Government Finance Authority, the South Australian Jockey Club and the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ SA/NT Division. She is also President of the Grange Golf Club and a member of the Transition Council for the newly formed Adelaide University.


Ms Ewens is a practising barrister with deep expertise in public, commercial and employment law, as well as professional negligence, disciplinary and appellate matters. She has appeared before most South Australian courts and tribunals, as well as at the Commonwealth level. Ms Ewens is a board member of Greyhound Racing SA and previously served as an advisory member of CCH’s Governance Committee.

Mr Pivato joins the board with significant finance and governance experience across the aged care, utilities and mining sectors in Australia and overseas. A registered chartered company secretary, he is a board member of the Commonwealth Association for the Ageing and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the United Group Australia Group of Companies.
