IHACPA has broadened its cost data collection to understand better the drivers behind residential aged care costs and variations in service delivery.
In a release, Chair David Tune expressed satisfaction with the agency’s progress in refining pricing advice using data-driven methods. The authority continues to collaborate with the Department of Health and Aged Care, evaluating grants and subsidies to adjust future pricing strategies.

IHACPA’s five-year vision includes annual reviews to ensure its pricing framework remains relevant and responsive to changes in the sector, with a commitment to stakeholder engagement and adaptability as the aged care industry evolves. Through this ongoing process, IHACPA aims to improve care delivery efficiency and ensure the advice reflects the diversity of service providers across the country.
