Infinite Care announces strategic partnership with Cairns Hospital for sub-acute care

Edge Hill residential aged care facility,

Infinite Care has announced a new strategic relationship with Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) that will bring additional healthcare options to the local community.

As part of this partnership, CHHHS will begin operations of a 45-bed satellite ward located in an annex of Infinite Care Edge Hill, known as The Lodge. The facility will be referred to as Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, Sub-Acute Care Unit, and will focus on providing sub-acute care for older persons and rehabilitation.

This new satellite hospital will be a welcome addition to the community, as it will provide additional capacity for CHHHS to expand its admissions capability. The first patient was admitted on Monday, 13 February 2023.

Infinite Care will continue to operate its 120-bed residential aged care facility independently from the satellite hospital. The company’s founders and joint managing directors, Chris Stride and Tony Partridge, expressed their excitement about the partnership, stating that it will enhance the ability of Infinite Care to provide outstanding care to its residents.

The Lodge has also created additional employment opportunities for the local community, and the company hopes to become an employer of choice in Cairns.

This partnership with CHHHS is a significant step in the growth story and consolidation of Infinite Care as an established and local provider of care in the Cairns community. The company currently operates 17 facilities across Queensland, South Australia, and New South Wales, with plans to expand further across Australia in the near future.
