SilVR Pathways launches to strengthen engagement using AI

SilVR Adventures

A new platform aimed at transforming how engagement is delivered across aged care services has been launched, as providers face growing pressure to demonstrate more consistent and personalised care outcomes.

SilVR Adventures has unveiled SilVR Pathways, a system designed to help organisations standardise and scale engagement programs while improving visibility of outcomes across multiple sites.

The launch comes amid rising expectations around person-centred care, alongside ongoing workforce and operational challenges that continue to affect how lifestyle and engagement programs are delivered.

Across the sector, engagement is widely recognised as critical to resident wellbeing. However, delivery often varies between staff, shifts and locations, with outcomes frequently dependent on the experience and intuition of individual team members. This variability can make it difficult for providers to replicate successful activities consistently or demonstrate their impact at an organisational level.

“Too often, meaningful engagement in aged care depends on the right person being on shift. SilVR Pathways changes that by giving every team the tools to deliver consistent, personalised experiences that truly reflect each resident.”

SilVR Pathways introduces a more structured, team-based approach. The platform enables staff to build shared resident profiles that capture personal history, preferences and interests. An AI-supported layer then assists in matching experiences to individual residents, reducing reliance on specific staff members and supporting continuity of care.

The system also provides a common framework that can be applied across multiple sites, helping organisations maintain a consistent standard of engagement. This is particularly relevant for providers managing rotating workforces or operating at scale, where alignment between teams can be challenging.

In addition to supporting delivery, the platform aims to improve how engagement outcomes are measured. Moving beyond traditional activity-based reporting, SilVR Pathways captures participation patterns and observational data, offering providers greater insight into what is working and where improvements can be made.

The development builds on peer-reviewed research conducted with Deakin University and aged care providers, which demonstrated strong outcomes in both physical and social engagement. Findings showed that 92.9 per cent of previously inactive residents participated in physical activity during virtual reality sessions, while 83.6 per cent of socially inactive residents began engaging in physical activity following participation. Improvements in mood and reductions in agitation were also recorded.

SilVR Pathways has also received industry recognition, winning Innovation of the Year for Cognitive Therapy at the recent Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards in Singapore, alongside Medical and Aged Care Group.

The launch reflects a broader shift within aged care toward more structured, data-informed approaches to engagement, as providers seek to strengthen person-centred care while maintaining consistency and accountability across services.
