Uniting NSW.ACT has acquired Find a Carer, a for-purpose business, to enhance community service flexibility for caregivers and clients.
According to their website, “Find a Carer is an online marketplace where older Australians and people with disability can connect directly with trusted care providers. It’s a simple, flexible and transparent way that brings choice, freedom and quality of life for both recipients and care providers.”
In a statement, Saviour Buhagiar, Uniting NSW.ACT’s Director of Seniors Services, highlights the importance of meeting evolving workforce expectations for flexibility and choice in support services. The acquisition seeks novel ways to retain committed caregivers in the aged-care and disability-care sectors, addressing short-term care needs and workforce shortages.
Zubin Appoo, the newly appointed CEO of Find a Carer, sees the partnership as a pivotal moment in revolutionising how independent carers connect with clients in aged care and disability services. Mr Appoo’s background includes over two decades of leadership experience in SaaS technology businesses.
