Q1. What was your highlight/s for 2023?

HammondCare and the sector turning the corner towards financial sustainability and growth after several years of brutal times, including COVID-19, revelations of the Royal Commission and workforce challenges.  Other highlights are HammondCare opening SA’s first dementia care village and seeing frontline aged care staff recognised with a 15 per cent pay rise.

Q2. What are you most looking forward to in 2024?

More certainty with workforce,  new opportunities to meet unmet needs in homelessness and dementia, and fresh learnings at HammondCare’s IDC 2024. On a personal levelmy wife Kerryn are looking forward to becoming grandparents for the first time!

Q3. What books will you be reading over the summer holiday break?

I’m looking forward to reading ‘Bright Shining’ by Julia Baird. As it turns out my sister has all the talent in the family
