Grant Robinson appointed Chair of Juniper

Grant Robinson, Chair, Juniper

Ms Maree Arnason, the Independent Board Chair of Juniper, will retire at the end of February 2024, concluding a decade with the prominent Western Australian aged care provider.

Joining the Juniper Board in 2014 and assuming the Chair position in October 2019, Ms Arnason navigated the organisation through its most formidable challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, funding uncertainties, CEO transitions, and industry-wide changes following the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.

Under her leadership, Juniper expanded into one of Western Australia’s largest not-for-profit aged care providers, boasting 24 residential homes, 2,200 employees, and over 4,200 clients.

“Maree has also been central in transforming the organisation from a traditional not‐for‐profit to a mission‐focused, commercially astute, contemporary not-for‐profit aged care provider.

Juniper CEO Russell Bricknell

Mr Grant Robinson succeeds Arnason as Juniper’s new Chair, bringing extensive aged care and nonprofit sector experience, governance proficiency, and insight gained from his tenure as an Independent Board Member since August 2018 and as Chair of Juniper’s Audit and Risk Committee. He is also a board director of Bethesda Health Care.
