BESTMED has announced the launch of BESTtrack – a secure electronic controlled drug register designed for residential aged care homes that integrates with their Electronic National Residential Medication Chart (eNRMC) compliant platform. A grant is currently available until December 2024 to help providers streamline the prescribing, dispensing, administration and ongoing management of medication.
BESTtrack replaces traditional paper-based recording methods, providing a safer and more efficient way for care staff to manage medication management and restricted drugs with a single software vendor.
The cloud-based system accurately records and tracks multiple safes, provides real-time comprehensive reporting, and streamlines pharmacy supply and ordering. BESTtrack is currently in beta testing and will be available as an option in the rollout of upcoming releases, either integrated with BESTMED or as a standalone product. BESTMED claims to be investing over $3m annually in research and development, and recently announced a research study with Macquarie University into how user-friendly IT systems can improve the management of medication and support for staff and residents.
